Biography: Post-doctorate in agronomy/plant breeding, and PhD in plant science (plant production) from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV, Brazil). Master's degree in genetics and breeding (UFV). Bachelor's degree in agronomy from the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA, Brazil), with a sandwich degree at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF, United States). Works with plant breeding, with emphasis on the genetic breeding of vegetables regarding chemical-nutritional aspects and the management of plant genetic resources. Full professor of agronomy at the Insof Basic, Technical and Technological Education (EBTT) at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Ceará (IFCE, Crateús Campus). Visiting professor of the Postgraduate Program in Environmental Sciences PPGCAM/CCCH (UFMA, Brazil).

Research Interest: Has been working with plant breeding, integrating agronomic practices and applied plant physiology, aiming at optimizing production and chemical-nutritional aspects. Has been working in the planning and conduction of field experiments, data collection and analysis, with considerable experience in academic writing
